First Appearance Green Arrow: More Fun Comics #73 Value

Green Arrow first appeared in More Fun Comics #73, cover-dated November 1941 and on sale September 19, 1941 (Wikipedia). He was created by Mort Weisinger and designed by George Papp, and his sidekick Speedy debuted in the same issue. Oliver Queen is a wealthy businessman, owner of Queen Industries and a celebrity in Star City.

Wikipedia says that in the O'Neil and Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow stories from 1970 he represented radical leftist viewpoints, and that he has since been written as an outspoken advocate for the underprivileged.
